BROADWAY THEATRE, BARKING

We are proud to announce that Steve Drury of Rooff Limited has become a corporate patron of the Broadway Theatre in Barking.

Rooff were the contractors for the development of the Broadway Theatre itself, as well as several other impressive recent performing arts buildings around London. Rooff will play an integral part of the future Arts and Creative Industries sector within the Borough, being the key commercial developer of The Granary Building in Abbey Road, one of the main focuses of the new Creative Industries Quarter, being promoted by LBBD and LTGDC.

ST CATHERINES PRIMARY SCHOOL, BARNET

Rooff Development director, Steve Drury gave an assembly presentation to the whole school, to mark the commencement of the new extension works.

Steve stressed the importance of health and safety on building sites and highlighted the message that they were not ‘playgrounds’ for children.

 

With the co-operation of the Head Teacher, Mrs Eillene Quigley, Steve announced the launch of a competition to design a ‘safety poster campaign’.  The winner will receive a £25 book token.

 

A similar poster competition was held at St Lukes’ School in Canning Town, East London.

Bermondsey Spa Masterplan has been awarded 'Best New Place to Live' in the Mayor's London Planning Awards.

Boris Johnson, at the awards ceremony, said ' The Winner in the 'Best New Place to Live' category, for its good quality design and restoration of pride to a previously rundown neighbourhood goes to: Bermondsey Spa Regeneration, including St James Quarter - submitted jointly by Levitt Bernstein associated Ltd and Savills'
 

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ISO 14001:2004

Rooff Limited are now accredited to ISO 14001:2004.
 

The Creative Industries Quarter, Abbey Road, Barking

The Rooff Group construction and development company, are pleased to announce the purchase of the Granary Building in Abbey Road, Barking from the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation.

The refurbishment of this locally historic industrial building will form part of the first phase of the longer term regeneration objectives for the Abbey Road area. The LTGDC have brought forward a comprehensive redevelopment planning consent, in association with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham for Creative Industries uses, mixed use development and residential accommodation.

The Granary building and the adjoining Malthouse number among the oldest remaining buildings within the Borough of Barking and Dagenham and Rooff are proud to be associated with the restoration and “bringing back to life” of such an important local feature. 
 

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ISO 9001:2008

Rooff Limited has now successfully upgraded their ISO accreditation to 9001:2008.

Varied entry categories are intended to attract projects of all shapes and sizes in the construction, joinery and furniture industries to enter, showcasing all kinds of design. With permission from the owner, anyone associated with an eligible building or furniture project can enter the project before the closing date.

THE SALT STORE, HAVERING

Rooff Ltd are proud to announce the completion of the Ground Source Heat Pump installation at the Havering Salt Store project. Councillor Tebutt of London Borough of Havering visited site to celebrate this installation.
