ROOFF LTD– PROUD SPONSORS OF THE WOOD
AWARDS IN 2009
Michael Buckley, organiser of The Wood Awards 2009 has welcomed Rooff Ltd, as a new sponsor: “ We are delighted that Rooff is going to be supporting our Awards scheme, which has become the premier awards scheme for the use of the world’s only naturally sustainable material.
At a time when sustainability is at the top of political and architectural agendas, we hope that 2009 will be another great year for the Awards” he said. Rooff, a family run construction and development company, are joining the list of sponsors of The Wood Awards 2009, which celebrate excellence in design in the world’s naturally most sustainable material.
The Wood Awards is now in its seventh year, having become well established as the most respected award for building and design in wood. Varied entry categories are intended to attract projects of all shapes and sizes in the construction, joinery and furniture industries to enter, showcasing all kinds of design. With permission from the owner, anyone associated with an eligible building or furniture project can enter the project before the closing date of 22 May 2009.
Rooff Director of Building and Development Steve Drury comments: ‘We are delighted to be involved with this year’s Wood Awards and to be joining the UK timber industry in celebrating the most sustainable building material. In a world where sustainability is the new watchword, The Wood Awards offers a stage for architectural design and craftsmanship, things that Rooff champions and continues to invest in.
Rooff Ltd join leading organisations involved in wood marketing and education in the UK, including the Forestry Commission, the Carpenters’ Company and the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) as sponsors of The Wood Awards 2009. |
