The Rooff Group construction and development company, are pleased to announce the purchase of the Granary Building in Abbey Road, Barking from the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation. The refurbishment of this locally historic industrial building will form part of the first phase of the longer term regeneration objectives for the Abbey Road area. The LTGDC have brought forward a comprehensive redevelopment planning consent, in association with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham for Creative Industries uses, mixed use development and residential accommodation. The Granary building and the
adjoining Malthouse number among the oldest remaining buildings within the
Borough of Barking and Dagenham and Rooff are proud to be associated with
the restoration and “bringing back to life” of such an important local
feature. |

Rooff Limited has now successfully upgraded their ISO
accreditation to 9001:2008. |

Rooff Development director, Steve Drury gave an assembly presentation to the whole school, to mark the commencement of the new extension works.
Steve stressed the importance of health and safety on building sites and highlighted the message that they were not ‘playgrounds’ for children.
With the co-operation of the Head Teacher, Mrs Eillene Quigley, Steve announced the launch of a competition to design a ‘safety poster campaign’. The winner will receive a £25 book token.

similar poster competition was held at St Lukes’ School in Canning Town,
